About this location
Linh Quang Pagoda - The One-Pillar Pagoda amidst the riverways of Dong Thap. Linh Quang Pagoda, also known as Tay Thien Nhat Tru or the Western One-Pillar Pagoda, is located in Tan Phu Commune, Dong Thap Province. Inspired by the architecture of the One-Pillar Pagoda in Hanoi, this structure has become a unique cultural and spiritual landmark in the Southern countryside. Beyond serving the religious needs of locals and Buddhists, the pagoda attracts visitors with its distinct architecture and serene landscape. A prominent feature on the grounds is the Lotus Platform (Lien Hoa Dai), built on a stone pillar in the middle of a lotus pond, mimicking the image of a lotus rising above the water. The structure features curved tile roofs, intricate dragon and phoenix decorations, and red brick balustrades, harmonizing with the cool green lotus pond. The architecture carries traditional Northern Vietnamese traits while set against the Western river landscape, creating a distinctive cultural intersection. From the pagoda grounds, production crews can capture panoramic angles of the Lotus Platform, lotus pond, pathways, worship architecture, and surrounding rural scenery. This location is suitable for feature films, documentaries, cultural-spiritual films, MVs, TVCs, or scenes requiring a serene Buddhist atmosphere, unique architecture, and Southwestern river landscapes.
