About this location

Hoa Long Pagoda - A Buddhist space associated with the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site. Hoa Long Pagoda is located in Cao Lanh Ward, Dong Thap Province, right next to the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site—the resting place of Deputy Viceroy Nguyen Sinh Sac, the father of President Ho Chi Minh. The pagoda shares a special bond with local history, having been supported by local residents who established tombs, incense offerings, and worship practices following his passing. Over time, the pagoda has become an important Buddhist practice site while contributing to the cultural and historical landscape of the region. The pagoda was restored starting in 2008 and completed in 2009, featuring spacious and well-maintained architecture. The structure follows traditional Vietnamese Buddhist architectural styles, highlighted by the main gate, tiled roofs, shrines, and expansive grounds. The gardens and internal pathways connect the pagoda with the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site, forming a seamless space that harmoniously blends spiritual architecture with green landscapes. The pagoda grounds offer excellent angles for capturing the triple-gate entrance, main hall architecture, courtyard, gardens, and the connecting areas with the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site. This location is well-suited for feature films, documentaries, historical and cultural films, music videos, or scenes requiring a traditional Buddhist backdrop intertwined with Southern Vietnamese history and cultural life.
