Buu Thanh Ancestral Temple – A historical filming location in Ho Chi Minh City Buu Thanh Ancestral Temple is a historic temple belonging to the Northern Buddhist sect, founded by Master Tien Hien in 1801 in the Long Truong area. The temple is currently located at 62 Street No. 6, Long Truong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The site was classified as a City-level Historical and Cultural Relic under Decision No. 5516/QD-UB dated November 30, 2006. The temple is situated on a high mound, surrounded by walls, with its facade facing North. The complex currently includes a three-entrance gate (Tam Quan), the main hall, the ancestral hall, monks' quarters, a guest house, a kitchen, a refectory, living quarters for monks, the Linh Son Holy Mother Shrine, the Avalokiteshvara Statue, and stupas. Notably, the area behind the temple preserves five ancient laterite stupas and 12 blue stone column bases, which are remnants of the original structure. The location's value lies in its combination of ancient architecture, lush greenery, historical artifacts, and Buddhist lifestyle. It is suitable for historical films, cultural and religious films, documentaries, social-psychological dramas, and scenes recreating the atmosphere of old Southern Vietnam. The temple is also associated with the revolutionary history of the Long Truong area during the resistance wars. Information compiled by: PTIT Photo source: PTIT
