Ngoc Hoang Pagoda – A historic pagoda location in Ho Chi Minh City Ngoc Hoang Pagoda, formally known as Phuoc Hai Tu, is a religious site originating from the Chinese community in Saigon. Built between 1892 and 1900, it was recognized as a National Architectural and Artistic Monument under Decision No. 2754/QD-BT dated October 15, 1994. The location features distinct ancient Chinese-style architecture, utilizing brick, wood, yin-yang roof tiles, intricate decorative panels, and a collection of worship statues. The layout consists of a front hall, a middle hall, and a main sanctuary, creating layered spatial depth, high-contrast lighting, and a high density of detail. The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism records the campus area at approximately 2,300 m², housing a significant collection of statues, including unique papier-mâché figures. Regarding filming value, this location is suitable for historical films, cultural films, social-psychological dramas, documentaries, projects involving religious elements, and scenes recreating the Chinese-Vietnamese atmosphere in Southern Vietnam. As this is an active place of worship and a classified monument, production crews must coordinate in advance with the management unit to determine permitted filming areas and schedules.
