Nam Thien Nhat Tru – The One Pillar Pagoda in the heart of Long Nhan Lake Nam Thien Nhat Tru, also known as the Thu Duc One Pillar Pagoda, is located at 100 Dang Van Bi, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City. The structure was built in 1958 by Venerable Thich Tri Dung, modeled after the architecture of the Dien Huu Pagoda – the One Pillar Pagoda in Hanoi. A distinctive feature of this location is that the pagoda is situated in the middle of Long Nhan Lake on a reinforced concrete pillar, creating the image of a lotus flower rising from the water. The 1-hectare campus combines a lake, greenery, Buddha statues, and traditional Northern Vietnamese Buddhist architecture. The water surface provides depth for camera angles, reflects the architecture, and offers relative isolation from the surrounding urban landscape. With its unique architecture, water features, and Buddhist atmosphere, this location is suitable for cultural-religious films, historical dramas, documentaries, social-psychological films, and scenes requiring meditative spaces, East Asian architecture, or water-based landscapes.
