Buu Thanh Ancestral Temple – A historical filming location in Ho Chi Minh City. Buu Thanh Ancestral Temple is an ancient temple belonging to the Northern Buddhist sect, founded by Zen Master Tien Hien in 1801 in the Long Truong area. The temple is currently located at 62 Street No. 6, Long Truong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The site was classified as a City-level Historical and Cultural Relic under Decision No. 5516/QD-UB dated November 30, 2006. The temple sits on a raised mound, surrounded by a fence, with its facade facing North. The premises currently include a triple gate (tam quan), main hall, ancestral hall, monks' quarters, guest house, kitchen, dining hall, living quarters for monks, Linh Son Thanh Mau shrine, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva pedestal, and stupas. Notably, the area behind the temple preserves 5 ancient laterite stupas and 12 blue stone column bases, which are remnants of the original temple. The location's value lies in its combination of ancient architecture, lush greenery, historical traces, and Buddhist life. It is suitable for historical films, cultural/religious films, documentaries, social-psychological dramas, and scenes recreating the atmosphere of old Southern Vietnam. The temple is also associated with the revolutionary history of the Long Truong area during the resistance war. Information compiled by: PTIT Photo source: PTIT
