About this location

Xuan Hoa Dam - A Blue Lake Amidst Ha Tinh Forests Xuan Hoa Dam is located in Co Dam Commune, Ha Tinh Province. The location features the Xuan Hoa reservoir, streams, small waterfalls, rocks, lush green forests, clear water, butterflies, and fish. XUAN HOA DAM – RESERVOIR IN THE GREEN FOREST Xuan Hoa Dam, also known as Xuan Hoa reservoir, is situated in Village 2, Co Dam Commune, Ha Tinh Province. Co Dam Commune was recently restructured under Resolution 1665/NQ-UBTVQH15 in 2025, comprising Cuong Gian, Xuan Lien, and Co Dam. Completed in 2008, the dam serves as a vital water supply for local residents. The setting boasts a wide, clear blue lake, streams, small waterfalls, large boulders, mossy rocks, sandbanks, green forests, grassy banks, and hills. The area is inhabited by butterflies, gobies, and dragonflies, complemented by scattered dry leaves and exposed tree roots. The lake features a flat, mirror-like surface that reflects the surrounding forest, creating a strong visual axis from the forest edge down to the lake surface, and from the lake up to the small waterfalls and rocks. This landscape is ideal for panoramic flycam shots of the lake nestled within the forest, medium shots of the lake, forest edges, and streams, as well as close-ups of small waterfalls, mossy rocks, fish, and butterflies. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times for shooting, while harsh midday sunlight should be avoided. This landscape is well-suited for nature films, family dramas, journey/road-trip films, eco-tourism promotional videos, and nature-themed music videos. Compiled by: PTIT. Photo source: PTIT.
