About this location

Thien Tuong Pagoda - An Ancient Temple Over 600 Years Old in Hong Linh Thien Tuong Pagoda is located in Bac Hong Linh Ward, Ha Tinh Province. Dating back to the Tran dynasty, nestled on the slopes of the Hong Linh mountain range, it is a national scenic and historical heritage site. THIEN TUONG PAGODA – AN ANCIENT TEMPLE OVER 600 YEARS OLD ON HONG LINH MOUNTAIN Thien Tuong Pagoda is located in Quynh Lam residential group, formerly Trung Luong Ward, now Bac Hong Linh Ward, Ha Tinh Province. The new Bac Hong Linh Ward was established under Resolution 1665/NQ-UBTVQH15 in 2025, comprising Bac Hong, Duc Thuan, Trung Luong, and Xuan Lam. The pagoda is situated on the slopes of Thien Tuong Mountain within the Hong Linh range, midway up the peak, right next to National Highway 1A. According to the Dai Nam Nhat Thong Chi historical records, the pagoda was built during the Tran dynasty around the 14th century, with a history spanning over 600 years. It was damaged by fire in 1885 and restored in 1901 by Dao Tan, the Viceroy of Nghe An. The pagoda was recognized as a national scenic and historical monument by the Ministry of Culture and Information in 2005. Key filming locations include the pagoda gate, courtyard, main sanctuary, tiled roofs, statues, bells, mountain views, forests, stone steps, and the mountain trail. The landscape is ideal for aerial flycam shots of the pagoda nestled amidst the Hong Linh mountains, medium shots of the courtyard and main sanctuary, and close-ups of the statues, bells, and tiled roofs. The scenery is well-suited for historical films, temple-themed movies, heritage documentaries, family dramas, journey films, and heritage tourism promotion videos.
