Yen Giang Communal House

Yen Giang Communal House - A historical landmark by the Bach Dang River. Yen Giang Communal House, also known as An Hung Communal House, is located in Quang Yen Ward, Quang Ninh Province, on the banks of the historic Bach Dang River. Built in the 16th century, the communal house is dedicated to Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and the pioneers who reclaimed land, expanded the coastline, and developed the Yen Hung region. It was recognized as a National Historical Relic in 1996 and is part of the Special National Relic Complex of the Bach Dang Victory. Although the communal house has undergone multiple restorations, it retains its traditional architectural features and many valuable artifacts, including stone steles, horizontal lacquered boards (hoanh phi), parallel sentences (cau doi), and royal decrees from the Nguyen Dynasty. The site is situated on elevated ground, surrounded by rural landscapes, rice fields, and the scenery along the Bach Dang River. Every year, the Dai Ky Phuoc festival and other major holidays maintain the ritual of processing the statue of Tran Hung Dao to the communal house for ceremonies, creating a culturally rich atmosphere. From the communal house grounds, one can capture shots of the gate, the courtyard, religious architecture, stone steles, horizontal lacquered boards, greenery, and the rural riverfront landscape. Rituals such as palanquin processions, ceremonies, and festival activities provide excellent material for crowd scenes rich in tradition. The location is suitable for historical films, period dramas, documentaries, cultural/folk films, music videos, or scenes requiring a Northern Vietnamese village setting tied to history and the Bach Dang victory.
