Tien Cong Temple - A testament to the pioneers of the Ha Nam island region. Tien Cong Temple, also known as the Temple of the Nineteen Pioneers, is located in Phong Coc Ward, Quang Ninh Province. It is a national historical and cultural site associated with the formation of the Ha Nam island region. The temple honors 19 pioneers who reclaimed land and built dikes to settle this area in 1434. The site was designated a national monument in 1990 and is linked to the Tien Cong Festival, a prominent traditional festival of the Bach Dang estuary region. The temple sits on a site of nearly 3,000 m² and features 'Nhi' (二) style architecture, consisting of three-bay, two-lean-to buildings with four roofs covered in traditional curved tiles. The site currently preserves many valuable artifacts, ritual objects, and royal decrees. The ancient architectural space, combined with the temple courtyard, greenery, and the rural landscape of the Ha Nam island region, creates a setting rich in coastal delta culture. From the temple grounds, one can capture various angles of the gates, courtyard, religious architecture, ritual objects, rural life, and festival activities. In particular, the 'procession of the elders' ritual, where elderly residents are carried to the temple by their descendants during the festival, provides unique visual material regarding customs and community life. The location is suitable for historical films, documentaries, cultural/folk films, music videos, or scenes requiring a Northern coastal village setting. Information compiled by: PTIT.
