Pho Do Pagoda

Pho Do Pagoda, Ha Tinh - A Buddhist setting by the Ho Do River. Pho Do Pagoda is located along the Ha Hoang River (Ho Do River) in Tran Phu Ward, Ha Tinh Province. According to local records, the pagoda was built around the early 18th century. The current structure was reconstructed in 2013 on a site spanning approximately 9,825.7 m². Its riverside location creates a visual connection between Buddhist architectural space and the water landscape. Pho Do Pagoda serves as a center for Buddhist activities in Ha Tinh Province. In 2014, it hosted the main Vesak ceremony for Ha Tinh Buddhism, with activities conducted on the section of the Ha Hoang River passing by the pagoda. In 2017 and 2022, the pagoda was again used as the venue for the Ha Tinh Provincial Buddhist Congress. Given its riverside location, Buddhist architecture, and role in local religious life, Pho Do Pagoda is a suitable location for productions exploring Vietnamese culture, beliefs, and Buddhist life, particularly for scenes requiring a combination of temple architecture and water features.
