Thanh Quang Pagoda – A coastal ancient temple landmark in Ha Tinh. Thanh Quang Pagoda is an ancient temple dating back to the Le Dynasty, formerly known as Yen Nhan Pagoda, located in the coastal region of Ha Tinh. According to the Ha Tinh Museum and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the site is located in Thach Hai Commune, Thach Ha District, rather than Thach Dinh Commune as previously reported. In 2016, Thanh Quang Pagoda was recognized as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic. The pagoda grounds are situated on a spacious plot of land, backed by a small hill; the entrance features rows of coconut trees and a lotus pond. Notably, the pagoda follows a 'Front Mother Goddess, Rear Buddha' architectural structure, with the shrine to Mother Goddess Lieu Hanh in the front and the Buddha worship area in the back. The site also preserves a bronze bell from the Tay Son Dynasty and an ancient Champa well, contributing to the tangible and cultural value characteristic of the Ha Tinh coastal region. With its landscape of small hills, greenery, lotus ponds, and a collection of historically significant architecture and artifacts, Thanh Quang Pagoda has the potential to serve as a filming location for works exploring Vietnamese culture, folk beliefs, and Buddhism, particularly for scenes requiring the recreation of coastal village settings and long-standing historical cultural layers. Filming activities must comply with management regulations for historical sites. Content compiled by: PTIT
