About this location
Chuong Pagoda - An Ancient Architectural Landmark of Pho Hien Chuong Pagoda (Kim Chung Tu), located in Pho Hien Ward, Hung Yen Province, is a prominent historical site within the Pho Hien Special National Monument complex. The structure holds exceptional historical, cultural, and architectural value, reflecting the imprint of Buddhism within the ancient cultural space of Pho Hien. The pagoda is notable for its 'noi Cong ngoai Quoc' (inner 'Cong' shape, outer enclosure) architectural layout, with components symmetrically arranged along an axis from the three-entrance gate (Tam quan) to the Mother Goddess altar house (nha Mau). The bluestone bridges, stone incense burners, ancient stone steles, and statues of Buddha create visual depth and traditional aesthetic value. The combination of wooden architecture, stone materials, and carved details offers numerous symmetrical camera angles, ideal for capturing panoramic architectural views, tracking shots along corridors, and detailed close-up frames of the heritage site. With its ancient Buddhist ambiance and traditional architectural hallmarks, Chuong Pagoda is well-suited as a filming location for historical dramas, period pieces, heritage documentaries, and films exploring Vietnamese cultural and spiritual themes.
