Bach Dang Stake Yard - Relics of the historic naval battle on the Chanh River. Bach Dang Stake Yard, also known as the Yen Giang Stake Yard, is located in Quang Yen Ward, Quang Ninh Province, and is part of the Bach Dang Victory Relic Complex. This is one of the most significant remnants of the 1288 Bach Dang battle commanded by Tran Hung Dao, where the Tran dynasty's army and people used a field of wooden stakes in the river to block the retreat of the Mongol invaders. The site is currently a protected area and a component of the Bach Dang Special National Historical Relic. The stake yard is situated in the Chanh River estuary area, within a landscape of wetlands and riverbanks. The stakes discovered were primarily made of ironwood (lim) and taul wood, measuring approximately 2.6 - 2.8 meters in length, sharpened to be driven into the riverbed. The current site combines water surfaces, wetlands, embankments, and river scenery, creating a characteristic backdrop of the Northeast estuary region. From the relic area, filmmakers can capture angles of the stake yard, water surfaces, the estuary, dikes, and the Bach Dang landscape. The location is suitable for historical films, war/period dramas, documentaries, reportages, or scenes recreating naval battles, military tactics, and the riverine atmosphere of Vietnam during the Tran dynasty.
