Am Pagoda – An ancient temple on Am Son Mountain Am Pagoda, officially known as Dien Quang Pagoda, is located in Duc Tho Commune, Ha Tinh Province. The site was classified as a National Heritage Site under Decision No. 188/QD-BT dated February 13, 1995, by the Ministry of Culture and Information. Built in the early Le So Dynasty, the pagoda is associated with Queen Bach Ngoc and historical traces related to the reclamation of the Duc Tho region, as well as the Lam Son uprising's resistance against the Ming invaders. Regarding its setting, Am Pagoda is situated halfway up Am Mountain, surrounded by lush greenery; behind it lies the Tra Son range, and in front is the Ngan Sau River. The temple grounds feature a spacious courtyard, a lotus pond, the “Bai Phat – lay Tang” (Worshipping Buddha – Bowing to Monks) rock formation, two ancient frangipani trees, and a cliff behind the temple known as the Divine Cannon Rock (Da Than Cong). The structure has undergone several restorations but still retains the architectural imprints of the Le Dynasty. With its combination of ancient temple architecture, mountainous terrain, greenery, natural rock formations, and stupas, this location offers significant value for filming historical, cultural, and Buddhist-themed scenes. When utilizing this site as a filming location, production crews must conduct a site survey and complete procedures with the heritage management authorities to ensure conservation requirements are met.
