Thach Dong Ha Tien - A Mysterious Cave Setting Thach Dong (also known as Thach Dong Thon Van) is a unique scenic heritage site located in Ha Tien Ward, An Giang Province. The cave is a vertical limestone mountain formation approximately 50 meters high, situated prominently along National Highway 80, surrounded by towering palmyra palms and flat fields bordering Cambodia. This landmark is associated with the folklore of Thach Sanh, the brave hero who entered the cave to rescue a princess and defeat a giant eagle spirit. Later, it served as a resilient border defense post for the 207th Infantry Battalion. From a cinematic perspective, the spacious cave interior, featuring magnificent Permian stalactites (250 million years old), offers mysterious, deep, and ethereal camera angles.
