Thien Khanh Pagoda – A Buddhist sanctuary in the heart of the city Located in Long An Ward, Tay Ninh, Thien Khanh Pagoda is a Northern Buddhist temple with a history dating back to 1911, deeply connected to local Buddhist activities. Thien Khanh Pagoda is situated at 48 Luu Van Te, Long An Ward, Tay Ninh Province, and belongs to the Northern Buddhist sect. The pagoda was established in 1911, with Most Venerable Thich Phap Luu serving as its first abbot. Over the years, the pagoda has undergone several renovations and reconstructions, with the current main hall and lecture hall completed in 2002. The pagoda's space reflects the characteristics of an urban Buddhist facility, featuring a main hall, lecture hall, monks' quarters, and auxiliary structures. Since 1991, the pagoda has served as a base for the Long An Basic Buddhist School, now known as the Long An Intermediate Buddhist School. As of 2026, it continues to host provincial-level Buddhist activities. Information compiled by: PTIT Photo source: PTIT
