About this location

Bac Trach Church (Bac Trach Parish) - A European architectural wonder for cinema. Bac Trach Church (Shrine of the Divine Mercy) is located in Van Truong Commune, Hung Yen Province. This is one of the largest and most majestic Catholic sanctuaries in Vietnam, notable for its length of 92.5m, width of 32m, and twin bell towers soaring 61m high. The church was initiated in the 18th century and completed in 2013 featuring a classical Gothic architectural style combined with the Greek school. The structure possesses a system of pointed arches, majestic rows of columns, nearly 100 exquisite relief statues, and hundreds of artistic stained-glass windows. The interior space harmoniously combines magnificent gold tones with subdued blue hues, creating a strong visual effect under natural light. The grandiose scale and wide-angle shots from the large plaza provide visual value equivalent to ancient European settings, meeting rigorous standards for professional cinematic camera angles. This landscape is extremely suitable for grand religious scenes, simulated European royal spaces, modern social-psychological films, or detective and thriller films with a mysterious, nostalgic tone.
