Truc Lam An Giang Zen Monastery – A Sanctuary of Serenity Located in Thoai Son District, Truc Lam An Giang Zen Monastery was initiated in 2017 and inaugurated in 2022. Spanning nearly 15 hectares with 18 distinct structures, it stands as a prominent spiritual landmark, embodying the essence of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect amidst the riverine landscape of the Mekong Delta. The site offers a striking visual backdrop, blending traditional Truc Lam Yen Tu wooden architecture, stone elements, and curved tiled roofs with picturesque natural scenery. The majestic Tam Quan Gate rests against Sap Mountain, while the expansive Main Hall features an imposing vaulted ceiling. The symmetrical Bell and Drum Towers house a bronze bell standing 2 meters tall with a diameter of 1.4 meters. A cinematic highlight is its elevated position on a hill, offering panoramic views of the tranquil Ong Thoai Lake, a vast koi/catfish pond at the entrance, and the winding limestone mountain ecosystem. Natural light reflecting from the lake onto the dark wood of the Main Hall creates a serene, ethereal, and poetic frame.
