Huyen Cave

Huyen Cave - Resistance Relic Located in Trang Xa Commune, Thai Nguyen Province, Huyen Cave is a historical site associated with two significant periods nearly a century apart. In the late 19th century, when the Black Flag Army invaded the Vo Nhai region from the North, the people of Trang Xa utilized the cave's rugged terrain and vast interior as a shelter and defensive stronghold. During the resistance war against the US, the 28th Thai Nguyen Steel General Team (Unit 9303) renovated the cave floor to store production materials, constructed rail tracks for transport, and manufactured weapons to support the Southern battlefield. The cave was designated a Provincial Historical and Scenic Site in 2009. The interior of the cave spans multiple levels; as one ventures deeper, diverse stalactite formations emerge, creating a mysterious and tranquil atmosphere. It holds both natural geological value and well-preserved traces of wartime production and military activities. With its historical layers from two resistance periods and its proven multi-level cave structure, this location is suitable for war-themed films, productions recreating wartime logistics and weapon manufacturing, and local historical documentaries.
