Hang En Cave

Hang En Cave - The 3rd largest cave in the world. Hang En is located in Thuong Trach Commune, Quang Binh Province, within the core zone of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. The cave stretches approximately 1,645 meters in length, featuring three entrances, with a maximum width of over 170 meters and a height of about 120 meters. Two entrances at the base of the mountain follow the flow of the Rao Thuong stream, creating a unique topographical structure. The interior of Hang En combines primeval forest, the Rao Thuong stream, cave entrances, underground rivers, lakes, and massive stalactite formations. Inside, the cave features sandy beaches and water surfaces, creating layers of depth and a stark contrast between natural light from the entrances and the darkness within. From December to March, sunlight can penetrate the cave entrances, creating a signature lighting effect. These features allow for a wide variety of framing, from large-scale panoramic cave shots to scenes featuring human subjects within a vast natural space. With its cave topography, primeval forest, and underground rivers, Hang En is suitable for nature documentaries, exploration films, scientific programs, and cinematic works requiring pristine, large-scale cave settings.
