Tien Son Cave - A million-year-old "Stone Palace". Tien Son Cave is located in Phong Nha Commune, Quang Binh Province, within the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Situated approximately 1,000 meters from the entrance of Phong Nha Cave at an altitude of about 200 meters above sea level, it was discovered in 1935. Unlike the water-filled Phong Nha Cave, Tien Son is a dry cave with a surveyed length of over 980 meters. The interior space winds along the mountainside, distinguished by a system of stalactites in various shapes that create distinct layers and visual depth. According to the National Park Management Board, the current tour route only covers about 400 meters from the cave entrance, as the deeper sections feature hazardous terrain. The journey to the cave involves climbing nearly 600 steps, providing a transition from the exterior limestone landscape to the enclosed, low-light, and geologically rich interior. With its dry cave characteristics, stalactites, and limestone terrain, this location is suitable for nature documentaries, scientific films, exploration films, and productions requiring natural cave settings, particularly for scenes emphasizing the scale, depth, and pristine nature of underground spaces.
