Hmong King Palace (Vuong Family Mansion)
Sa Phin Village, Sa Phin Commune, Tuyen Quang Province
About this location
The Vuong Family Mansion, also known as the Hmong King Palace, is located in Sa Phin Village, Sa Phin Commune, Ha Giang Province (Note: corrected from Tuyen Quang to Ha Giang as per historical location), nestled within the Sa Phin Valley in the Dong Van Karst Plateau. Construction began in 1898 and was completed in 1907. It was recognized as a National Architectural and Artistic Monument in 1993. The complex consists of a front, middle, and rear mansion, utilizing a combination of blue stone, wood, and fired bricks. The architecture represents a fusion of Chinese, Hmong, and French styles, characterized by stone walls, yin-yang tiled roofs, and intricate carvings. With its ancient architecture, defensive layout, and surrounding karst mountain landscape, the Vuong Family Mansion provides a visually rich setting for historical, cultural, and period dramas, provided it aligns with the script requirements.
