Quynh Lam Pagoda

Quynh Lam Pagoda - A thousand-year-old ancient temple of the Truc Lam Zen sect. Quynh Lam Pagoda, also known as Quynh Lam Tu, is located in Binh Khe Ward, Quang Ninh Province, within the Special National Relic Site of the Tran Dynasty in Dong Trieu. The pagoda has a long history, originating from the Ly Dynasty and flourishing significantly during the Tran Dynasty. Zen Master Phap Loa expanded Quynh Lam into a major Buddhist center, closely associated with the development of the Truc Lam Zen sect. The pagoda is situated on Tien Du Mountain, amidst the hilly landscape and greenery characteristic of Dong Trieu. The architectural structures have been restored and renovated in a traditional style, featuring the front hall, central hall, rear hall, the Truc Lam Tam To (Three Patriarchs) shrine, the three-entrance gate (tam quan), and the stupa garden. The spacious, ancient atmosphere, combining Buddhist architecture with the natural landscape, offers multiple layers of imagery, from intricate architectural details to panoramic views of the relic site. From the pagoda grounds, one can capture shots of the three-entrance gate, the main sanctuary, the courtyard, the stupa garden, Buddha statues, the Tien Du mountain landscape, and Buddhist activities.
