Du Hang Pagoda (Phuc Lam Pagoda) - An ancient Buddhist relic and a filming location rich in Northern Vietnamese identity. Du Hang Pagoda is one of the oldest ancient pagodas in the Northern coastal region. According to the stele at the site, the pagoda dates back to the Early Le Dynasty (980–1009), associated with the development of Buddhism and the Truc Lam Zen sect through various historical periods. Despite numerous restorations, the pagoda preserves its traditional architectural scale, featuring a seven-compartment Buddha hall, a three-story bell tower, an Ancestor house, and a complete courtyard. Located in the heart of Hai Phong's historic urban area, Du Hang Pagoda is one of the few ancient pagodas that has maintained its traditional Buddhist architectural space relatively intact amidst a modern urban setting. With a history spanning over a millennium, the site offers various characteristic spatial layers, from the three-entrance gate (Tam Quan), bell tower, brick courtyard, and stupa garden to the system of Buddha statues and ancient trees, creating a backdrop rich in historical depth and visual appeal for film projects. The architectural space, landscape, and preserved artifacts provide a suitable setting for historical, cultural, and spiritual film projects, documentaries, and works exploring traditional Vietnamese architecture and fine arts.
