According to Box Office Vietnam, as of 11:00 AM on September 20, 'Len Huong', directed by Khuong Ngoc, is nearing the 70 billion VND mark, leading the box office for several consecutive days. The film's appeal stems from its exploration of a familiar family story within a rather unique world: the funeral industry and the custom of 'sleeping in a coffin to change one's luck.' The cast is also a key factor drawing audience interest. Among them, Vo Tan Phat is a name frequently mentioned due to his high frequency of screen appearances, yet 'no two roles are the same.'

Vo Tan Phat was born in 1995 in Vinh Long. He was primarily known for acting through television programs before deciding to enroll at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema. During his university years, he balanced his studies with part-time jobs and participated in theater troupes to support himself and gain experience.

In 2017, Vo Tan Phat won the 'Cuoi Xuyen Viet' (Laugh Across Vietnam) competition. In 2018, he and Akira Phan won first prize in 'Cap Doi Hai Huoc' (Humorous Couples). In 2020, he transitioned to trying his hand at being an MC. The turning point in Vo Tan Phat's career came in 2021 when the web drama 'Gia Dinh Cuc Suc' (The Grumpy Family), which he acted in and produced, received significant attention from the audience. The project's success helped the actor's name become more widely known on social media.

Vo Tan Phat also ventured into cinema through films such as 'Phap Su Mu' (Blind Shaman), 'Chong Nguoi Ta' (Someone Else's Husband), 'Biet Doi Rat On' (Very Stable Squad), 'Nu Hon Bac Ti' (Billion-Dollar Kiss), and 'Lam Giau Voi Ma' (Getting Rich with Ghosts)... but mostly in supporting roles. By 2026, the name Vo Tan Phat dominated the big screen as he appeared in four films: 'Bau Vat Troi Cho', 'Anh Hung', 'Heo Nam Mong', and 'Len Huong'. Notably, 'Bau Vat Troi Cho' and 'Heo Nam Mong' both surpassed the 100 billion VND mark, and 'Len Huong' is also approaching this milestone.

Beyond acting, Vo Tan Phat is also a charming 'comedian' on social media. His TikTok channel features him constantly changing jobs; one day he might be a warehouse manager, the next he has switched to massage therapy, delivery driving, serving, or construction labor. The series of videos 'doing this job today, another tomorrow' quickly attracted millions of views, with some clips even surpassing 10 million views. Many viewers humorously commented that the actor has a 'constitution that makes it hard to be unemployed' because he can 'handle' any job.

In 'Len Huong', Vo Tan Phat is one of the main actors alongside Hong Dao and Le Ha Anh. He plays Tam, a man from a deprived background who takes on many jobs to make a living. Tam has a straightforward, sometimes hot-tempered personality, but struggles to express his feelings to those closest to him.

Vo Tan Phat shared that one of the scenes that impressed him the most in the film was when Tam washes Ma Lan's (Tuyet Thu) hair. According to him, director Khuong Ngoc only provided the situation, while the execution was left to the actor. When performing the scene, he thought of his own mother in real life.

"When I rinsed the water and placed my hands on Ma Lan's head, what happened on screen was no longer me trying to 'act' as Tam. I remembered the times I washed my mother's hair, and a thought occurred to me: what if this were the last time? From that thought, the emotions naturally guided my actions in the scene," Vo Tan Phat recounted.

After the film was released, Vo Tan Phat received much positive feedback regarding his acting. This feedback left the actor surprised and happy.

Vo Tan Phat does not place much importance on building himself into a handsome leading-man archetype, focusing instead on how to make his characters convincing on screen. After Tam, the actor still wants to try his hand at action and martial arts to bring images that the audience has never seen of him before.

"I am not a beautiful actor, but I will make my characters as beautiful as possible," he affirmed.
