On the global charts, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reached $2.45 billion. The film ranks third on the list of the highest-grossing films of all time, behind Avatar and Avengers: Endgame. Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks the fourth time Tom Holland has taken on the role of Peter Parker in a standalone Spider-Man film.
The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. The plot follows the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), where the entire world has forgotten Peter Parker. A mysterious enemy emerges who knows Spider-Man's true identity, pushing him into a new confrontation.
According to Variety, the film's appeal stems from audience curiosity regarding the consequences of Peter Parker's choices in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sadie Sink is also a major draw for viewers, as her role was kept under wraps prior to the film's release. In the film, the actress plays Jean Grey, a mutant with telepathic abilities.
