Located in Luc Si Thanh Commune, Vinh Long Province, the Cu Lao May Rice Paper Craft Village has a history spanning over 100 years and has been recognized as a traditional craft village since 2009. The production process remains artisanal, involving grinding rice, steaming the batter, and sun-drying the rice paper. Visually, the village is striking with its traditional stoves, skilled artisans, and racks of rice paper drying along the courtyards and village paths. It offers excellent opportunities for wide shots of the production space, medium shots of the workers, and close-ups of the steaming, drying, and raw material preparation processes. Permission must be obtained from the household head/production facility owner before filming inside houses, near stoves, or in drying yards.
Do not move or touch rice paper, raw materials, tools, or production equipment without authorization.
Do not obstruct the production process, especially in the steaming stove and drying yard areas.
Do not set up filming equipment in a way that compromises food safety and hygiene.
Limit the use of high-intensity lights, smoke, props, or activities that may affect the products.
If filming across multiple households or using village paths as a backdrop, prior coordination with residents and local authorities is required.
