About this location

Ban Khieng Waterfall - A pristine stream nestled in the primeval forests of Mau Son. Ban Khieng Waterfall is a scenic site located in the Mau Son mountain range, featuring a stream approximately 1.5 km long that originates from the Mau Son rocky mountains. The waterfall is situated between the Po Noc and Choc Xien mountain ranges at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level. The stream is flanked by natural forests, creating a lush, green landscape that feels isolated from residential areas. It is also designated as site number 34 on route 4 of the Lang Son Geopark. The water at Ban Khieng does not fall in a single cascade but flows through various rapids, stone steps, and small pools. Over time, the flow has eroded the rock surface, creating diverse natural formations combined with clear, transparent pools. The stream bed terrain changes constantly between flowing sections, rocky banks, and mountain crevices, offering multiple layers of scenery within a single area. The combination of waterfalls, mountain rocks, forests, and stream terrain provides suitable visual material for feature films, short films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries. The location is ideal for scenes depicting pristine nature, exploration journeys, survival stories, or sequences requiring the imagery of Northeast mountain forests with continuously moving water.
