Nang Han Temple - A tribute to the legendary female general by the Son La Reservoir. Nang Han Temple is located in Quynh Nhai Commune, Son La Province, within the Quynh Nhai Spiritual and Cultural Tourism Area. The temple is dedicated to Nang Han, a legendary female general of the White Thai people, revered by the community for her role in defending the region against foreign invaders and maintaining peace in the villages. The structure was reconstructed in 2011 and inaugurated in 2012, serving as an important site for local religious practices. The temple is situated within a 14-hectare landscape along the Son La Hydropower Reservoir, with three sides facing the Da River. The temple's space blends spiritual architecture with the surrounding mountains and water, creating an atmosphere that is both solemn and expansive. Every year, the site hosts religious activities and festivals associated with the figure of Nang Han, including the traditional hair-washing festival of the White Thai people in Quynh Nhai. From the temple grounds, filmmakers can capture angles of spiritual architecture, worship spaces, the Da River reservoir, mountains, and the cultural rituals of the Thai people. This location is suitable for historical films, cultural and ethnic documentaries, music videos, or scenes requiring a setting of faith, legend, and the characteristic riverine landscapes of the Northwest.
