About this location
Cam Luong Holy Fish Stream - A Muong ecological and cultural space. Cam Luong Holy Fish Stream is located in Cam Thuy District, Thanh Hoa Province, nestled within the Luong Ngoc village landscape and the limestone mountain range along the Ma River. The highlight of this location is a 100-meter stretch of the Ngoc Stream, home to a unique school of endemic fish referred to by locals as 'holy fish.' The surrounding area features limestone mountains, streams, traditional villages, and the cultural space of the Muong ethnic community. The production value of Cam Luong Holy Fish Stream lies in the harmony between natural landscapes and indigenous cultural life. According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the fish are identified as 'ca gioc' (Spinibarbus hollandi), a species belonging to the carp family and listed in the Vietnam Red Data Book. The combination of streams, limestone mountains, caves, and villages provides multi-layered scenery for filming. The Luong Ngoc village area preserves traditional stilt houses, ethnic costumes, brocade weaving, gongs, and the traditional customs of the Muong people. This location is suitable for documentaries on nature, the environment, and biodiversity, as well as projects exploring community culture, the life of the Muong people, and the mountainous landscapes of Thanh Hoa. The streams, limestone formations, and villages offer natural, authentic, and visually rich frames. Content summary: PTIT. Photo source: VTC News, Vietnamnet.
