Quynh Son Community-Based Cultural and Tourism Village - A Tay ethnic village nestled in the Bac Son valley. Located in Bac Son commune, Lang Son province, Quynh Son Community-Based Cultural and Tourism Village sits in the heart of the Bac Son valley within the UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark. Established in 2010, the village is renowned for its long-standing Tay ethnic community, limestone karst landscapes, and traditional cultural values preserved through generations. In 2025, Quynh Son was recognized by UN Tourism as one of the “Best Tourism Villages of 2025”. The village landscape is defined by over 400 traditional Tay stilt houses, primarily constructed of wood with yin-yang tiled roofs, all facing south. These houses are interspersed among rice paddies, lush greenery, and surrounding limestone mountain ranges, creating a quintessential mountainous rural atmosphere. The local cultural life preserves traditions such as Then singing, Tinh lute performances, the Long Tong festival, and various traditional culinary and daily living practices. The village offers numerous filming angles, including stilt houses, village paths, rice fields, limestone mountains, community life, and Tay cultural activities. This location is suitable for feature films, documentaries, cultural/ethnic films, music videos, tourism commercials, or any scenes requiring an authentic, identity-rich, and culturally profound mountainous village setting.
