About this location
Central Office for South Vietnam Base – Special National Monument The Central Office for South Vietnam Base is a special national monument located within the Chang Riec forest, ideal for war-themed and revolutionary historical settings. The Central Office for South Vietnam Base complex is one of the most significant historical sites in Tay Ninh, situated amidst the Chang Riec forest. During the resistance war against the US, this area served as the headquarters for numerous revolutionary leadership bodies of the South, including the Central Office for South Vietnam, the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, and the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam. The base has been restored in the Rum Duon area, featuring a system of offices, residential quarters, meeting halls, Hoang Cam stoves, communication trenches, bunkers, and memorial structures nestled within the forest.
