Bac Ma Pagoda

Bac Ma Pagoda - An ancient temple associated with the Dong Trieu War Zone. Bac Ma Pagoda, also known as Phuc Chi Tu, is located in An Sinh Ward, Quang Ninh Province. This ancient temple has a history of approximately 600 years and is a historical site linked to the Fourth Dong Trieu War Zone. During the pre-uprising period in 1945, the pagoda served as a meeting place for Viet Minh cadres, a logistics hub, and a gathering point for forces preparing for the uprising to seize power in Dong Trieu. The pagoda grounds are spacious, blending traditional Buddhist architecture with lush greenery and rural landscapes. The site preserves many valuable artifacts and historical traces, including stone steles, stupas, and carvings reflecting the artistic styles of the Tran, Later Le, and Nguyen dynasties. The Dong Trieu War Zone Memorial House is located within the temple grounds, displaying images, documents, and artifacts related to the revolutionary activities of 1945. From the pagoda grounds, production crews can capture various angles of the three-entrance gate (Tam Quan), the courtyard, ancient architecture, stone steles, stupas, the memorial house, and the surrounding greenery.
