About this location

Chua Chan Mountain - National Scenic Spot of Dong Nai Chua Chan Mountain, also known as Gia Lao Mountain, is located in Xuan Loc Ward, Dong Nai City. With an elevation of 837 meters above sea level, it is the highest mountain in Dong Nai Province and the second-highest in the Southeast region. On March 29, 2012, this landmark was classified as a national scenic monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism under Decision No. 1204/QĐ-BVHTTDL. The landscape of Chua Chan Mountain is characterized by mountainous terrain, natural rock formations, forest vegetation, and a system of religious structures associated with cave pagodas on the mountain slopes. The area also preserves the Bao Dai tea garden, linked to the royal retreat history of King Bao Dai in the 20th century. The combination of natural scenery and cultural heritage creates multi-layered visual spaces, ranging from pristine mountain forests to spiritual architecture and historical imprints. Chua Chan Mountain is well-suited for nature documentaries, historical and cultural films, and projects exploring spiritual themes. The rugged terrain, forested areas, and religious sites provide diverse backgrounds for feature films, exploration films, and short films. Panoramic views from high vantage points are also ideal for wide shots, spatial transitions, and capturing the natural beauty of the Southeast region.
