Noong Lake

Noong Lake – A natural lake nestled in the mountains and forests of Tuyen Quang. Noong Lake is located in Phu Linh Commune, Tuyen Quang Province, within the northern mountainous region of the province. This is a natural lake formed from two wetlands, Pum Ang and Pum Yeu, comprising two areas: Noong Lake 1 and Noong Lake 2. According to local information, the lake's water source is connected to an underground cave system, creating a unique water landscape amidst the valley. The water surface of Noong Lake changes with the seasons. Various sources have recorded the water surface area at approximately 36 hectares, which can expand to about 60 hectares during the flood season, creating different landscape appearances throughout the year. The lake's environment, combining water, mountainous terrain, and valleys, provides a natural setting suitable for filming nature, local life, and mountainous landscapes. Film crews should be mindful of traffic and weather conditions during the rainy season; in July 2026, the road through the Noong Lake area experienced landslides causing blockages.
