Mui Doi - Hon Dau: Where the Sunrise Meets the Sea Mui Doi - Hon Dau is located on the Hon Gom Peninsula, in Van Thanh Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province. It was designated a National Scenic Site on March 25, 2005, under Decision No. 13/2005/QD-BVHTT. The area consists of two headlands protruding into the sea and Hon Dau, a small island located approximately 500 meters offshore. Regarding its value as a filming location, the site is notable for its natural rock formations, rocky reefs, expansive sea views, and the islands surrounding the Hon Gom Peninsula. The contrast between the rock masses, the coastline, the horizon, and the open seascape creates a visually profound environment, suitable for nature, maritime, and adventure-themed sequences. Mui Doi - Hon Dau is also recognized as the easternmost point of the Vietnamese mainland, where the first sunrise on the mainland can be witnessed. Its pristine environment and panoramic ocean views provide excellent opportunities for capturing sunrise shots, exterior scenes, and sequences requiring a sense of isolation and vastness.
