Thien Hau Temple - A Heritage Space in Cho Lon The Tue Thanh Assembly Hall, also known as Thien Hau Temple or Cho Lon Ba Pagoda, is located at 710 Nguyen Trai Street, in the Cho Lon area of Ho Chi Minh City. This heritage site is deeply connected to the worship of the Goddess Thien Hau (Mazu) by the Chinese community, particularly those of Cantonese descent. The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism records that the structure was built in 1760. It features a 'Guo' (National) character layout, consisting of a front hall, a central hall, and a rear hall. Its architecture and decorative systems create a distinct visual identity characteristic of the Cho Lon area. For film production, the location is suitable for capturing classical architecture, religious spaces, intricate decorative details, and traditional worship practices. It is a viable choice for historical dramas, cultural/social films, and documentaries, provided that the requirements of the site management are strictly followed.
