Linh Son Thuy Tu Temple - A spiritual sanctuary nestled by the Son La Reservoir. Linh Son Thuy Tu Temple is located in Quynh Nhai District, Son La Province, within the Quynh Nhai Spiritual and Cultural Tourism Complex. The temple was reconstructed on the site of an ancient shrine dating back to before the 17th century. It is dedicated to the worship of river and mountain deities, as well as the 'Tao ban' and 'Tao muong'—figures revered by the Thai ethnic community for their roles in pioneering, developing, and protecting the local villages. The temple currently shares the site with the Nang Han Temple, creating a distinct spiritual and cultural space in the Quynh Nhai region. Situated on a high hill amidst the mountains and the vast Son La hydroelectric reservoir, the temple features solemn architecture that harmonizes with the expansive water landscape, lush green mountain ranges, and lakeside village scenery. Inside, the temple preserves and displays several artifacts recovered following the resettlement process for the construction of the Son La hydropower plant, adding historical and cultural depth to the location. From the temple grounds, filmmakers can capture diverse angles of spiritual architecture, worship spaces, mountain forests, the Da River reservoir, and the religious practices of the Thai community. This location is suitable for historical films, cultural and ethnic documentaries, music videos, or any production requiring a spiritual, traditional setting combined with the characteristic riverine landscapes of the Northwest.
