About this location

Dong Ho Folk Painting Village Location Dong Ho Folk Painting Village is located in Song Ho ward, Thuan Thanh town, Bac Ninh province, right on the bank of the Duong River. This is a long-standing traditional woodcut painting village, recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The location features a traditional craft village space, the Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center, and manual production workshops. The process of pounding scallop shell powder (diep paper material), wood carving, and natural colors on diep paper creates a unique nostalgic quality, ideal for both realistic close-ups and wide shots of the Kinh Bac rural landscape. The depth of heritage and craft village infrastructure makes it particularly suitable as a filming location for historical and semi-historical feature films, cultural-artistic documentaries, folk-inspired works, and commercial TVCs.
