Film crews need to submit an official request letter detailing the crew size and shooting schedule, and may be required to provide a script or synopsis for the management unit's review and approval: - For international film crews: Dossiers must be submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to obtain a License for Providing Film Services Using Locations in Vietnam. Processing time is 20 days from the receipt of a complete and valid dossier. - For domestic film crews: No permit is required from state management agencies for cinema, but direct permission must be obtained from the agency/unit managing the location.

Location rules

Strictly prohibited to perform mechanical actions that cause lake bank erosion, cut down pine trees, or excavate/alter the natural flow and landscape.

Strictly prohibited to discharge domestic waste, technical waste, smoke/color-generating chemicals, or machine oil into the lake.

All cast and crew working on boats, wooden docks, or the lakeshore are required to wear life jackets (or use protective gear concealed within the frame).
