About this location
Ta Dung Lake: "The Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands" Located in Ta Dung Commune, Dak Glong District, Dak Nong Province, Ta Dung Lake is a natural landmark within the UNESCO Global Geopark. Often referred to as the "Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands," the site features a vast reservoir dotted with over 40 large and small islands rising from turquoise waters that remain clear year-round. The landscape is defined by undulating mountain ranges surrounding the man-made reservoir, which is fed by the Serepok River. A visual highlight is the mist that gently blankets the island peaks in the early morning, contrasting with the emerald-green water and the brilliant highland sunlight. The harmony between the hills, the expansive lake, and the natural vegetation creates a highly expressive filming environment, offering a variety of angles ranging from epic wide shots to intimate close-ups of outdoor activities and tranquil boating. The area extends across high-altitude viewpoints, trails along the lakeshore, and rustic boat docks, blending the grandeur of pristine nature with a serene, resort-like atmosphere. With its unique geological formations and impressive scale, the location is well-suited for feature films (adventure, action, or healing romance), TV commercials, reality shows, and artistic music videos, subject to UNESCO Geopark management regulations and filming permit requirements.
