About this location
Ta Lien Son - Lai Chau's Primeval Forest Space Ta Lien Son Peak (2,996m) in Ta Leng Commune, Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province, is one of the highest mountains in Vietnam. The location perfectly preserves a pristine primeval vegetation ecosystem, rugged mountainous terrain, deep valleys, and a rich variety of moss-covered ancient trees. Having retained its untamed beauty, entirely untouched by urbanization or industrialization, this backdrop offers an absolute, authentic natural setting for film crews. Ta Lien Son is an ideal natural studio thanks to its strong visual depth, highlighted by intertwining ancient trees creating an ethereal lighting effect suitable for tracking shots or majestic wide angles. The high-altitude fog and tranquil atmosphere strongly support art direction, creating a mysterious and desolate mood. However, due to its steep and primitive terrain, film crews should prioritize lightweight filming equipment (handhelds, gimbals, flycams) and deploy specialized logistics teams to ensure production safety. With its epic and wild landscape characteristics, the Ta Lien Son setting provides optimal visual material for large-scale cinematic projects. This location is particularly suitable as a primary setting for survival adventure films, historical dramas, and fantasy films requiring sacred forest settings, as well as documentary projects focusing on exploring the Northwest nature.
