Hon Ngu Island

Hon Ngu Island is located off the coast of Cua Lo, Nghe An Province, approximately 4 km from the mainland. It consists of two islands: a larger one reaching about 133 meters above sea level and a smaller one at about 88 meters, covering a total area of approximately 2.5 km². The island's landscape blends mountainous terrain, lush forests, and the vast sea, offering a natural setting with great openness and visual depth. The cinematic value of Hon Ngu lies in the contrast between its rocky terrain, vegetation, seascape, and the cultural structures on the island. Notably, the Song Ngu Pagoda, reconstructed on the site of the original temple, features traditional architecture including the three-entrance gate (Tam Quan), courtyard, Left and Right corridors (Ta vu, Huu vu), ceremonial hall (Bai duong), and the main sanctuary (Thuong dien).
