Vinh Nghiem Pagoda - A Buddhist architectural space in the heart of the city. Located at 339 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is officially listed by the City Department of Culture and Sports as an architectural and artistic heritage site. Built between 1964 and 1971 on a 6,000 m² campus, it stands as a quintessential example of 20th-century Vietnamese Buddhist architecture. Designed by architect Nguyen Ba Lang, the structure utilizes modern techniques and materials while maintaining the traditional Northern Vietnamese pagoda style. Key visual features include the curved-roof triple gate (tam quan), the 'Cong'-shaped central hall, multi-layered roof systems, the seven-story Kwan Yin Stupa, and an extensive collection of sculptures and reliefs. These architectural layers offer diverse sightlines and elevations, ideal for capturing panoramic views, transitional scenes, and detailed architectural shots. Suitable genres: Historical and cultural films, documentaries, and dramas with religious settings; best suited for sequences requiring clear identification of Buddhist spaces and 20th-century Vietnamese urban architecture.
