Phuoc Hung Pagoda – A Minh Huong landmark in the heart of Sa Dec Amidst the urban landscape of Sa Dec, Phuoc Hung Pagoda preserves a special slice of the Minh Huong Chinese community. Existing for nearly two centuries, the structure serves not only as a place of worship but also preserves architectural layers, carvings, and cultural activities dating back to the 19th century. The pagoda was built in 1838. It features an eight-roof, two-tier structure with yin-yang tiled roofs, bas-reliefs of dragons, unicorns, tortoises, and phoenixes, along with numerous red-lacquered and gold-gilded details. The main hall is adorned with numerous statues of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. This location is well-suited for film settings related to culture, history, social drama, films about the Chinese community, and religious documentaries. Compiled information from sources by: PTIT.
