Mai Anh Church: A European architectural setting in the heart of the Central Highlands Located in Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, Mai Anh Church (officially known as Domaine de Marie Church) is one of the most famous religious architectural complexes in the highlands. Built in the 1940s, the structure holds significant historical and artistic value, standing majestically on the windswept Mai Anh Hill. The architectural structure features a 17th-century European style harmoniously combined with the characteristic communal house (Rong house) roof shapes of the Central Highlands. A striking visual highlight is the warm pink lime-washed walls, the soaring pitched roof system, and stained-glass windows that capture natural light. The combination of the unique pink tone, lush green lawns, and the surrounding French-style flower gardens creates a filming environment with great depth, offering diverse camera angles from grand wide shots to romantic close-ups. The grounds extend through convent buildings, stone-arched corridors, and tranquil flower gardens, creating a unique blend of religious solemnity, nostalgic beauty, and the characteristic misty atmosphere of Da Lat. With its unique architectural aesthetic and cinematic space, the location is well-suited for period dramas, psychological films, romances, youth-themed films, TV commercials, and artistic music videos, subject to parish management regulations and filming permits.
