Cao Van Lau Theater – Where the conical hat becomes an architectural icon Proudly situated within the Hung Vuong Square complex, the Cao Van Lau Theater is one of the most famous contemporary architectural wonders in the Southwest region. Completed in 2014, it serves as a tribute to and a guardian of the musical legacy of the late composer Cao Van Lau. The architectural setting offers a powerful visual impact from every camera angle, thanks to its unique design mimicking three giant, intertwined conical hats (nón lá) reaching toward the blue sky. These three silver-white metal conical structures are harmoniously placed beside a vast, tranquil lake, connected by a gracefully curved, poetic corridor bridge for visitors. The shimmering reflection on the lake during the day and the vibrant color-changing LED system at night create perfect light refractions for cinematic frames, highlighting the soft beauty of the traditional Vietnamese conical hat. Highly suitable as a backdrop for musical films, Cai Luong (reformed theater) grand concerts, modern romantic dramas, cross-cultural art performances, or trendy music videos.
