Cam Phong Pagoda – A Southern Vietnamese Spiritual Space Cam Phong Pagoda is an ancient temple situated along the Vam Co Dong River, renowned for its Buddhist atmosphere, lush greenery, and community-focused activities. Cam Phong Pagoda is a temple with a long history in the Go Dau area, Tay Ninh, located near the Vam Co Dong River. According to Buddhist records, the temple originated from a thatched hut established by a Nguyen Dynasty official who retired to practice Buddhism; locals often refer to it as “Quan Hue Pagoda.” Today, Cam Phong Pagoda serves not only as a Buddhist institution but is also notable for its social welfare initiatives. The temple is associated with the May Ngan Shelter, which cares for orphans, the elderly living alone, people with disabilities, and those in difficult circumstances. Official provincial records identify Venerable Thich Dinh Tanh as the abbot, and the site is scheduled to continue its community operations throughout 2026.
