Quang Trung Museum

Quang Trung Museum, Vietnam - Tay Son Historical Site Quang Trung Museum is located in Tay Son Commune, Gia Lai Province (formerly part of Binh Dinh Province before administrative merger). It is built on the ancestral home of the three Tay Son brothers—Nguyen Nhac, Nguyen Hue (Emperor Quang Trung), and Nguyen Lu—the leaders of the renowned 18th-century peasant uprising. The heart of the site is the Tay Son Tam Kiet Temple, recognized as a Special National Monument in 2014, alongside a 300-year-old ancient tamarind tree and an original well preserved from the old family garden. The complex blends classical and modern architecture across a spacious, green campus. Features include an exhibition hall with traditional yin-yang tiled roofs, a bronze statue of Emperor Quang Trung, a Central Highlands communal house (Rong house), and an outdoor stage for traditional martial arts and Tay Son battle drum performances. The combination of the temple, museum, and stage offers diverse, contrasting backdrops within a single location. With its verified 18th-century historical significance and preserved traditional performances, this site is suitable for historical epics, martial arts sequences, and cultural heritage documentaries.
